Mission

The Christ Child Society of Detroit (CCSD) is a charitable, non-profit, IRC 501(c)(3) qualified, Catholic-affiliated organization of volunteers embracing members of all denominations dedicated to expressing their love of God through serving the Metropolitan Detroit and out-state areas of Michigan by promoting the well-being of disadvantaged children and their families.

Inspired by the the accomplishments and zeal of our national founder, Mary Virginia Merrick, CCSD fully embraces and seeks to actualize the Christ Child Prayer, "Nothing is ever too much to do for a child."

CCSD believes its great challenge is to embody the spirituality and vision of Mary Virginia Merrick and bring her message of love and compassion for the children to the whole world.
