Art Therapy Program
The Art Therapy Program holds classes twice a month (Wednesday evenings) at the Christ Child House.
The boys are enthusiastic and enthralled with the wide variety of art media provided and the growth in class participation, self-expression, self-esteem and creativity has been evident over time. We are very fortunate to have Molly Murphy, an artist and art therapist, who provides a terrific curriculum for the boys.
The program needs the help of the CCS members to assist the boys with the “hands-on” activities. Volunteers can have a wonderful opportunity to interact directly with the boys in a positive artistic outlet. This provides support and encourages the creativity of each individual child, giving them the caring and special attention that they all need.
